In 2008, I was a tired, unmotivated hairdresser. My mum encouraged me to start a lash business with her. There was no Facebook advertising, no Instagram, no social media to grow on. Things were so tough I had to move back in with my parents.
Then I attended a Russian Volume Lash course that lit a fire inside me. I became obsessed — I educated myself on lashes, branding, social media, and online marketing. I built my clientele from my home studio, one client at a time.
I started putting together a "Lash Bible" — everything I'd learned from experience, different trainers, and various platforms. I started training friends to work in my salon and loved watching them grow. I knew I had to share this with more people.
Today, Bela Beauty College is a multi-million dollar business with specialist trainers in all areas of beauty, helping thousands of people build successful careers. I'm so proud to help people transform their lives.
